I really agree with some of these, particularly Jeff Daniels, Martin Sheen, Donald Sutherland and Steve Buscemi. But some of the other ones, like Meg Ryan, Richard Gere and Sandra Bullock, are pretty understandable.

Kevin Bacon was very good as a pedophile. The movie was disturbing but they did a very good job with it. Jeff Daniels just seems like a good guy and I want him to win for that if nothing else. Although Bruce Willis is in some crappy movies, he usually does a good acting job even in these crappy movies. If he won an oscar it wouldn't bother me at all. Sheen and Sutherland deserve to win in a boring, 'well ya of course' kinda way. As for some of the people in there, being simultaneously very good looking and non-moronic does not mean you should win an oscar.
