Bandleader Robert "Kool" Bell was actually the bassist.<br /><br />Don't be too surprised if Lionel himself makes an appearance here shortly.<br /><br />And since when were "cheese-tastic" and "catchy" mutually exclusive? That clip of "Alibis" is from a popular early '80s music show called Solid Gold. Surf around YouTube enough and you will find scores of clips from this show, always featuring the "Solid Gold Dancers."
